My journey to becoming an attorney began early. At 21, I was accepted to law school — but I chose to postpone that dream to get married and raise a family. During those years, while my three children were growing up, I built and managed several successful businesses, learning firsthand what it takes to plan, adapt, and persevere through life’s challenges.
After my children became adults, I finally returned to pursue the goal I had set aside years earlier: a career in law. Today, I bring the perspective of a parent, business owner, and lifelong learner to every client I represent.
I’ve lived in Washington State since 1998, though my story started far from here. I was born in Monaghan, Ireland, and came to California as an infant with my mom to meet up with my Dad. Ireland remains a part of my heart — I visit often to reconnect with family and roots — but Washington has been home for over two decades.
My personal life has been as full and complex as the cases I handle. I’ve been divorced twice, navigated parenting plans, and experienced the real-world side of the legal issues I now help my clients face. Those experiences shape the way I practice: grounded, practical, and always focused on protecting families and resolving problems with honesty and respect.
Integrity means everything to me. I’m the kind of person who will walk back into the grocery store in the rain if I find something in my cart I didn’t pay for. My clients trust me for the same reason — I take ownership, I communicate clearly, and I never forget that the people I serve are trusting me with some of the most important parts of their lives.
