Law is my second career, one I pursued after a journey that included being a single mom and a business owner. When the pandemic hit, it pushed me to finally pursue a dream I had carried with me my entire life—helping people with their legal challenges by becoming a licensed attorney. With years of experience as a business professional, and degrees in Business from the University of Washington and a Master's in Business from Texas A&M University, it made perfect sense to enter the business Juris Doctor program at Gonzaga University.
While at Gonzaga, I was fortunate to gain practical experience through the Modest Means Program, which helps individuals who can't afford attorneys. I also volunteered at the Tribal Law Clinic where I gained experience in criminal law, estate planning, and family matters. It was here that I realized how my business and analytical background could help untangle some of the complexities of that individuals face in the legal field.
As a general practice attorney, I am deeply committed to the well-being of my clients, ensuring both their future and the future of their loved ones are secure. Health and fitness are central to my personal life, and they also influence my professional approach. Running and staying fit are not just hobbies for me; they’re vital to my overall well-being. This commitment to health carries over into my practice, where I emphasize the importance of planning for a healthy and secure future. Just as maintaining physical health is essential for a long life, preparing for what happens to your personal assets, your most beloved assets-your children and what happens after death are vital to my core.
Being a solo practitioner allows me to integrate this passion for health into my work. Just as I prioritize my own health, I encourage my clients to prioritize their financial and legal health through comprehensive consultation with an experience lawyer. This proactive approach helps ensure peace of mind and security for both individuals and their families.
In my practice, I focus the individual needs of each client. This includes considering their health, Medicare/Medicaid benefits, financial situation, and family dynamics. By addressing potential legal issues before they arise, I help clients reduce the likelihood of litigation which is costly and time consuming.
Ultimately, my role as an attorney is more than just drafting legal documents; it’s about caring for my clients' overall well-being. My goal is to help them live full, healthy lives, by walking them through the complexities of their case.
